Opened on July 9, 2025, Journey with Fragrance explores ancient Chinese incense culture through three thematic sections.
Botanical Origins presents over 50 plant specimens revealing the natural roots of Chinese fragrance traditions. The Art of Scent showcases historical vessels and techniques used for storing and burning incense. Fragrance and Spirit features 90 objects—from censers and sachets to painted scrolls—illuminating how incense shaped Chinese spiritual and aesthetic life.
A key component of our permanent exhibition World Fragrance Panorama, this special exhibition invites visitors to discover the profound connection between scent and soul in classical China.
